3.5 hours of work on Viviana's heart.

This was already the second child in the Myronchuk family. Zhanna wasn't worried at all during childbirth. All her tests were good.

Doctors frequently examined the mother, and the prognoses were more than good. They planned to do a cesarean section, so they were sure everything would go well. Meanwhile, fate had other plans and bestowed one unpleasantness upon her child – the little one had a congenital heart defect, and they would find out about it quite some time after her birth.

The woman gave birth in her hometown in the Transcarpathian region, but the doctors, after examining the child, heard suspicious heart murmurs. The baby was sent to Mukachevo for thorough diagnostics. It was here that they detected the presence of a small hole in the heart.

After some time, the family went for an examination at the regional hospital, where they were informed about two holes. It was planned that the baby should get a little stronger and come for a check-up in a month. But everything happened much faster. After two weeks, the child began to turn blue.

The heart couldn't cope with the strain caused by the mixing of blood, so the little body wasn't getting enough oxygen. The parents took their daughter immediately to Mukachevo, but from there they were quickly sent to Kyiv to the Amosov Institute. Viviana underwent surgery, and the holes were sewn up. 3.5 hours of skillful work by the cardiac surgeons, and everything was successfully repaired.

She spent a day in intensive care, where, thanks to the Charity Chain project – a joint project of the "Tvoya opora" charitable foundation and the Guzema Fine Jewelry brand – the girl received all the necessary medications and medical supplies. Now everything is in the past. The little one is already home, and in six months she will need to come to Kyiv again for a check-up. We wish her a speedy recovery, and her parents strength and patience.
