On July 4th, the WOG gas station network is launching its charity project, "The Road of Good." Its traditional attribute is purple unicorn mugs, in which drinks can be ordered throughout the campaign. Funds from the sale of these mugs will be directed to the project's co-organizers to help children affected by the war.
The co-organizers of "The Road of Good" project are Masha Efrosinina and the "Tvoya opora" (Your Support) Foundation. This year, its goal is to raise 2.5 million UAH for the treatment of children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Anyone can join the project: simply purchase a drink in a charitable purple unicorn mug at any WOG gas station.
"’The Road of Good’ is a project with a history. Before the war, our goal was not just to raise funds and purchase expensive equipment for hospitals, but to enable highly qualified Ukrainian doctors to save as many children's lives as possible.
Having discussed the appropriateness of implementing ‘The Road of Good’ project this year with the co-organizers, we agreed that it is timely but needs changes. So, we decided to focus on helping children affected by the war. However, its main goal remains unchanged – to save and treat. Every 5 UAH that our customers additionally pay for the most delicious coffee or fragrant tea in a purple mug is a saved life," emphasized Hennadiy Karlinskyi, Marketing Director of the WOG gas station network.
"For many years, our foundation has been a partner of the WOG gas station network's charity project ‘The Road of Good.’ For many Ukrainians, it has become a good tradition to support it. Every summer, they stop by WOG to buy coffee or tea in purple mugs, thus contributing to a good cause – saving children. Today, this issue has become particularly acute. Because help is needed both for children born with heart defects and for young ones who suffer daily from the war. So, we must do many times more to help everyone.
This year, together with our partners, we decided to change the focus and goal of the project – the funds will go to help children affected by the war, as well as to cover the needs of hospitals in the frontline zone. Therefore, the support of everyone who joins it is invaluable," says Valeriia Tatarchuk, founder of the "Tvoya Opora" charitable foundation.
"This year, I am joining the ‘The Road of Good’ project for the fourth time as an ambassador and one of the co-organizers. It is important to me that business and society systematically unite their efforts around charity. At a time when there is a war in our country, we decided within the project to focus on helping children affected by its horrors," emphasized Masha Efrosinina, co-organizer and ambassador of "The Road of Good" project.
The WOG gas station network has been implementing the "The Road of Good" charity project for the sixteenth consecutive year. During this time, thanks to everyone who joined it, over 23 million UAH has been raised. This has made it possible to purchase expensive equipment for medical institutions across the country, thereby saving the lives of thousands of children.
In addition, the "The Road of Good" project has a significant component – the formation of a culture of charity among Ukrainians, which in times of war is manifested in support and assistance to those who are in trouble and need it most.
