The story of Margarita's fight against diaphragmatic hernia.

For two hours, the doctors sewed up the defect and repaired all the girl's organs.

The story of Margarita's fight against diaphragmatic hernia.

Margarita's mother really wanted a daughter. Problems with the child made themselves known during pregnancy. At 27 weeks, during an examination at the maternity hospital in their native Kyiv, the mother was informed about the child's defect. To check and learn about all the risks, the woman was examined at the private clinic "Victoria." A consultation of doctors confirmed the little one's diagnosis – congenital diaphragmatic hernia – but still encouraged the family to be positive. Under close supervision, everything should have gone well.

The problem was that due to underdeveloped abdominal walls, organs pass through openings into the chest cavity. As a result, there could be circulatory disorders in the internal organs, insufficient oxygenation or even blood poisoning, or displacement of organs that could prevent the child from breathing in her first seconds. This pathology can only be corrected with surgical intervention, so the family monitored the mother's health and prepared mentally for future events.
