In the first months of life, children depend entirely on their parents: sometimes it seems that they know in advance what their little one will want in a minute. Mothers are able to notice the slightest changes in a baby's mood and behavior.

It was this natural feeling for her child that helped the mother of little Marsel promptly see the problems with the boy's health. She noticed that from time to time he turned blue, so she decided to seek advice from a cardiologist.

The ultrasound performed confirmed the mother's fears – according to its results, a disappointing diagnosis was established: a congenital heart defect, namely Tetralogy of Fallot. The boy was immediately transferred to the M.M. Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.

A repeat examination of the child at the Institute confirmed the previous diagnosis. The boy needed urgent surgery. Of course, the family agreed to it, as the life of their five-month-old son depended on it.

The surgery lasted 4.5 hours. For Marsel's parents, they seemed like an eternity. But what was their joy when they learned that repeat surgery would not be needed, and their boy would recover!
