The results of the routine ultrasound at 21 weeks of pregnancy became a difficult ordeal for Aidar's mother. During the examination, doctors discovered a diaphragmatic hernia in the child.

This is a rather serious pathology, and the woman was offered to terminate the pregnancy. However, the expectant mother refused: she was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her little boy and believed that they could overcome all difficulties.

Thus began the story of the unborn Aidar's fight. First, they were sent to the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology in Kyiv. It was there that the family received the first good news – it was possible to give birth. At 38 weeks of pregnancy, a cesarean section was performed at the Institute, and a wonderful baby boy was born. Immediately after birth, he was transferred to intensive care, and the very next day, doctors performed a brilliant surgery to remove the diaphragmatic hernia.

The boy tolerated the five-hour operation well and remained in the intensive care unit for another three days. Our hero awaits a second surgery, which will be performed when he grows a little older.

So now, Aidar's main task is to grow into a happy and smiling boy to the joy of his parents, to gain strength, and to explore this incredible world every day.
