New ICU: Crédit Agricole Donated 2.3 Million UAH to a Perinatal Center

As part of our collaboration with the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA), we are developing and implementing many projects.
The renovation of the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center is one of them. It became possible thanks to the financial support of our long-standing partner, Crédit Agricole.
Now, even more newborn lives can be saved thanks to the opening of a new intensive care unit — a neonatal intensive care block. Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie and Crédit Agricole Ukraine contributed 2.3 million UAH for the major renovation of the facility, allowing the number of beds to be increased to 12.
The new unit was built in full compliance with all medical standards and requirements.

Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie is a regional bank of the Crédit Agricole Group headquartered in Amiens, France.

Since the beginning of the war, the number of premature births in Ukraine has increased significantly.
The renovated intensive care unit will not only enable the rescue of newborns with critically low birth weight but will also provide the ability to maintain children on long-term mechanical ventilation and support the care and stabilization of infants weighing between 1,000 and 1,500 grams.
"We are truly grateful to our French partners for the opportunity to significantly improve the operations of our perinatal center, and for their compassion toward the lives and health of the smallest Ukrainians who are born into such a difficult time," noted Oleksandr Kachur, CEO of the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center.

The Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center provides specialized obstetric, gynecological, and neonatal care to women and children from the Kyiv region, Kyiv city, and other regions of Ukraine.
A large number of newborns require urgent resuscitation and specialized care, long-term treatment, and intensive support.
Every year, the hospital assists over 600 newborns.
Now, the center has a brand-new modern intensive care unit, fully equipped according to standards, featuring a powerful ventilation system and facilities for connecting additional resuscitation equipment and launching more ICU beds.
This will allow not only the rescue of newborns with critical health conditions but also support their long-term recovery and stabilization.

"Today, Kyiv Region has become a flagship of development and recovery.
While the country remains under constant threat, displaced people — including pregnant women — arrive here from across Ukraine.
They require maximum protection, support, and comfortable living conditions.
We are very grateful to everyone who contributed to the creation of this new intensive care unit.
We warmly invite every investor to join such initiatives and become part of Ukraine’s renewal," commented Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration.

This project was implemented through fruitful cooperation with the "Tvoya Opora" Charitable Foundation.

"The partnership between foundations and large businesses around such a critical issue can deliver real, tangible results — results that a hospital might otherwise have waited years for.
The support provided by the Crédit Agricole team is truly invaluable because behind every good deed are thousands of saved little lives!"
said Valeria Tatarchuk, Founder and CEO of the "Tvoya Opora" Foundation.

Since the beginning of the war, Crédit Agricole, as a socially responsible bank, has directed 88 million UAH to charitable causes.
All these important projects were implemented within the bank’s CSR program, WeCare!, and were mainly focused on purchasing medical equipment.

"As part of the larger international Crédit Agricole family, we in Ukraine are committed to our core mission — to act daily in the interests of our clients and society.
Since the start of the war, we decided to allocate a significant charitable budget, and we received tremendous support from our regional banks and the Group’s charity foundation.
We directed these donations primarily toward supporting medical institutions and children.
Together, we have already implemented over 35 charitable projects totaling 88 million UAH, supported 20 hospitals, and provided 67 units of expert-class medical equipment.
And we are certainly not stopping here," said Stéphane Fallick, Management Board Member at Crédit Agricole.

We sincerely thank Crédit Agricole and everyone involved for their unwavering support and contribution to this vital cause!
