We Purchased a Home for Orphans Together with Kateryna Osadcha and SOCAR

A total of 3.2 million UAH was raised to purchase a home for the Andriienko family, who are raising six orphaned children, as part of the joint “Home for Children” project by Kateryna Osadcha, the "Tvoya Opora" Charitable Foundation, and SOCAR.

Funds were collected through the sale of beverages in special charity cups, plantable postcards, and branded merchandise at SOCAR gas stations. Donations could also be made through the SOCAR mobile app or on the "Tvoya Opora" Foundation’s website.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined the “Home for Children” project. Your support has brought an incredible result that once again proves the strength and kindness of the Ukrainian people. Thanks to your compassion, another large Ukrainian family, who lost everything they had built over the years due to the war, now has a cozy home of their own, a place to dream and feel safe.
I am also deeply thankful to Kateryna Osadcha and SOCAR! Our partnership is a shining example of how collaboration between a well-known TV host and influential public figure, a major business, and a charitable foundation can quickly deliver real results," shared Valeria Tatarchuk, Founder and CEO of the "Tvoya Opora" Charitable Foundation.

The Andriienko family has already moved into their new home. They first encountered war back in 2015, when they had to evacuate from their hometown of Popasna under heavy shelling. After six months, they returned and managed to repair their damaged home. However, on February 24, 2022, they had to flee once again. Since May 2022, their city has remained under full occupation. The current state of their former home is unknown, but official data suggests that 95% of Popasna has been destroyed.

The “Home for Children” project is a response to a critical social need. With the outbreak of full-scale war, many family-type orphanages that were forced to evacuate to safer regions faced the huge challenge of finding suitable housing. It is impossible to split a large family into two small apartments or homes — the family must stay together.
Thus, out of a heartfelt desire to help Ukrainian children and their families, our joint initiative with SOCAR and "Tvoya Opora" was born. Thanks to everyone who simply bought a cup of coffee in a charity cup at SOCAR stations, a large family from the nearly destroyed town of Popasna will now greet 2024 in a new, cozy home. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed — you are making a real investment in Ukraine’s future," said Kateryna Osadcha.

After years of hardship, the large, close-knit Andriienko family has finally found a comfortable home with enough space for each family member.

SOCAR also sincerely thanks everyone who joined this charitable initiative.
"This project once again proves that we, Ukrainians, are always ready to help those in need and that together we can overcome any obstacle," noted Olena Osypchuk, PR Director of SOCAR Ukraine.

Special thanks are extended to Volodymyr Yuriev, Deputy Head of Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, for his active support and personal involvement in the selection process for the “Home for Children” project.
