Meet Bohdan, he is 15 years old. The boy has already undergone two heart surgeries, and his story of battling the illness continues.

The parents were informed about the child's heart problems immediately after his birth. Bohdan's first years of life were spent under close medical supervision and with systematic medical examinations.

In 2015, the nine-year-old boy spent a week at the M.M. Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. Here, he had his first surgery, during which valve repair was performed. The surgery was successful, so Bohdan returned home, where he continued to be monitored by a cardiologist.

And in 2021, the parents again brought the boy for examination to the Amosov Institute, where it turned out that a valve replacement was necessary. The boy underwent an eight-hour surgery, during which the valve was replaced with a mechanical one. Bohdan spent another day in intensive care, where doctors monitored the patient's condition.

Currently, the young man feels well and is gaining strength, but doctors say that he may need another valve replacement surgery in the future. So, we continue to monitor the health of our hero and believe that everything will be fine.
