Sometimes we learn about serious health problems completely by chance. This is exactly what happened to a young schoolgirl, Yevheniia, who was undergoing a routine medical examination before the start of the school year. It was during this examination that the doctor heard murmurs in her heart.

The girl was prescribed an additional examination – an echocardiography, which allows for the assessment of the heart's structure and function. The results obtained were disappointing, so Zhenia was sent for treatment to Mukachevo.

And it was here, after a complete examination of the child and a coronary angiography, that the final diagnosis was established – a congenital heart defect.

Doctors in Mukachevo advised the family not to delay the surgery and gave a referral to the M.M. Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Modern medicine is capable of creating miracles and gives a chance at a healthy life to children with very complex heart pathologies. And the brilliant heart surgery performed on Yevheniia by surgeons at the Amosov Institute is the best confirmation of this. During the operation, doctors performed a coronary artery bypass graft. It lasted a long 10 hours! And the girl spent another two days in intensive care under the close supervision of medics.

All the family's worries are now behind them, and repeat surgery will not be needed. This means that Zhenia will now feel well and live a normal childhood life with breathtaking adventures and incredible discoveries.
