The family lives in the Zakarpattia region. That's where Anton was born. The birth went well; the mother gave birth naturally. The boy was already 5 years old when the family learned about the defect. Before that, he behaved very actively and did not arouse any suspicion from his parents or doctors.

The only characteristic feature that distinguished the child among others was his ear, slightly larger than the other. This caused discomfort for the little one, and the parents, understanding potential problems in the future, decided to have a cosmetic surgery done at a young age. That's when they learned about the heart defect.

Before the surgery, Anton had to see a number of doctors, including a cardiologist. The child was listened to and sent for an ultrasound. And then everything happened very quickly. Suspicion of a heart defect. The diagnosis – sinus venosus defect – a hole in the upper part of the atrial septum. They were at a loss there and referred them to Kyiv to the Amosov Heart Institute. From Uzhhorod, they were referred to Mukachevo.

Here, the little boy was immediately hospitalized and began to be prepared for surgery. Anton's defect was sewn up. The boy spent a day in intensive care. It is still too early to talk about further actions and treatment methods. Doctors are waiting for the child's condition to normalize but hope that no more surgeries will be needed.
